About Animación Inoperante

The exhibition “Animación Inoperante” (inoperative animation), which can be viewed until 4th March, includes complete exhibits and extracts of work carried out between 2004 and 2009 by the artist Diego Vizcarra.

 

In this exhibition complete exhibits and extracts of work carried out by Diego Vizcarra between 2004 and 2009,
experimenting with the expressive possibilities of diverse techniques of animation, are on show.

The works exhibited represent the process of development, learning and introduction to a way of creating and
understanding animation. Vizcarra gives priority to personal investigation over the gimmicks and neatness of
reproducing a mechanical movement, to avoid sacrificing the soul of that represented.

His intuition is oriented towards the discovery of something which moves and invigorates us, fundamental material in order to give life to movement.
