Economic Resources Allocated

Once again, the resources allocated by the Telefónica Group to the Foundation in 2008 have been increased with respect to the previous year, thanks to the combination of two factors: on the one hand, the annual increase in profits obtained by the Group, which allows the budget for social and cultural activities to grow every year; and, on the other hand, the willingness of the Foundation to bring its work in line with the real demands and needs of the greatest possible number of citizens. To increase accuracy, the foundation released a new IT application in 2008 to track and evaluate results. This tool classifies all quantitative data on Fundación Telefónica activities in a structured way, providing up-to-date reports on the progress of all programs, with respect to the goals set.
