The presentation is scheduled for next Tuesday, 28 th September, at 12:00 at the Diagonal 00 Building, in Barcelona. The study “Comunicación móvil y desarrollo económico y social en América Latina” (Mobile Communication and economic and social development in Latin America) has been carried out by sociologist and director of the Internet Interdisciplinary Institute of the OUC, Manuel Castells, with Hernán Galperin and Mireia Fernández-Ardèvol.
The book analyzes the impact of mobile technologies on Latin America’s social and economic development during the last decade. Prestigious specialists have collaborated in the study, which analyzes the results obtained through a broad research effort promoted by the Internet Interdisciplinary Institute of the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (UOC), and includes regional analyses and case studies in Argentina, Brazil, Chile and Peru.
