Learn all the secrets of one of the most successful literary sagas in the world from its creator, George R. R. Martin.

From tuesday 17 to Sunday 22 July, Espacio Fundación Telefónica will become part of the world of The Game of Thrones, the TV series followed by millions of viewers throughout the world, which has become a true phenomenon, following the trail of the original book series. The books that make up George R. R. Martin’s Song of Fire and Ice series, have sold over 15 million copies worldwide, and have been translated into more than 20 languages. George R. Martin himself will close the week with a conference.

The Game of Thrones week is brought to Espacio Fundación Telefónica with the collaboration of publishing house Gigamesh and Canal+ .

Week Schedule
From 17 to 22 July
Espacio Fundación Telefónica will provide the setting for an interactive zone where visitors will be able to connect to the War Cry of Canal Plus game-app, and watch episodes of the first two seasons of the series. Also, original scenarios and decorations used in the Game of Thrones series will be on display at Espacio Fundación Telefónica, as well as some of the best documentaries, and interviews produced by the makers of the series.

20 July. Projection of the “Battle of the Blackwater ” episode
Projection of the Battle of the Blackwater episode (2nd Season of the series Game of Thrones), one of the fans' favourite chapters, scripted by George R. R. Martin himself.

21 July. Colloquium “El éxito real de un producto de ficción (the True Success of a Fiction Product)”
Colloquium on Game of Thrones from the different perspectives of the phenomenon: literary work, fiction series, television product, game and social network phenomenon, among others.

22 July. Meeting with George R. R. Martin
Meeting with author George R. R. Martin, the translator of his books, Cristina Macía, and Gigamesh editor, Alejo Cuervo, during which they will discuss the keys to the worldwide success of the literary series Song of Fire and Ice (adapted for TV as Game of Thrones), what was the author's reaction when he became part of a global phenomenon and to what extent has technology (Internet and social networks) contributed to expanding its repercussion.
