To celebrate the International Internet Day, Daniel Innerarity, author of the book “The Democracy of Knowledge” will deliver a conference at Espacio Fundación Telefónica on the Internet and its impact on society
Daniel Innerarity is a Professor of Political and Social Philosophy, an Ikerbasque researcher at the University of the Basque Country and director of its Democratic Governance Institute (www.globernance.com). He has taught as a visiting professor at different European and American universities, recently including the University of Paris I-Sorbonne. A Doctor in Philosophy, he broadened his studies in Germany (on a grant from the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation), as well as in Switzerland and Italy.
In 2004, the French publication Le Nouvel Observateur ranked him as one of the world’s 25 great thinkers, and he has been appointed as a member of the Council of Universities upon proposal by the Spanish Senate, as well as belonging to the Académie de la Latinité and the European Academy of Arts and Sciences, with headquarters in Saltzburg.
He is also a frequent contributor to the Spanish newspapers El Correo and El País, as well as to the publication Claves de Razón.
