Fundación Telefónica Centre is a space for art that contributes to the creation and spreading of contemporary art in its different manifestations, paying special attention to those expressions that use new technologies as their support medium. The Centre also promotes and spreads Grupo Telefónica’s artistic, cultural and historical-technological heritage.
In this groundbreaking space, we carry out intense cultural, artistic, and educational activities free-of-charge at the service of the community. We develop an innovative pedagogical programme aimed at students, we strengthen the development of local artistic production, and set up exhibitions focusing on arts and the new media.
The Fundación Telefónica Centre in Lima boasts three halls: the main hall and two smaller spaces that accommodate our exhibitions and activities linking art and the new media, as well as conferences, workshops, video-conferences, presentations, film projections, and plays. They also host a multimedia space, where visitors can access Internet portals related with contemporary art and the new media.
The Media Library holds a great diversity of bibliographic and audiovisual materials on subjects related with contemporary art, digital art, electronic art, film, photography, history, painting, sculpture, engraving, videoart, and technology, as well as catalogues and publications on Fundación Telefónica’s Collection.
