Fernando Piquer

CEO and founder of BITOON GAMES

From an early age, Fernando Piquer’s career was focused on the world of programming and IT and he has been involved in the field of online entertainment for more than ten years.

He worked for Teknoland, setting up one of the first Spanish virtual communities, for Betybyte, a leading Spanish company in the use of technology to create loyalty plans, virtual communities and social networks for all kinds of formats, where he was the development contact for the Coca-Cola online community, creating the multi-player games within the community and online marketing platforms; and for Zinkia Entertainment, a Spanish company specialising in the production and management of entertainment brands, where he successfully led projects such as Shuriken School Game and multi-player games such as Wireless West, Olympia Online and Copa Coca-Cola, soon becoming one of its senior partners.

Currently, he is the CEO and founder of BITOON GAMES, a Spanish company specialising in the development and setting up of free multi-player games and online entertainment communities, and the creation of new international distribution models for digital content, as well as alternative business models based on micropayments and virtual asset sales.

Eneko Knörr is a founding partner of the Association of Internet Investors and Entrepreneurs (AIEI) and a member of Venturepreneurs and SeedRocket.

The videogame developer is a professional who participates in the design and creation of a videogame. It is a multi-disciplinary field in which the most important things are creativity (plot, music, design of characters, etc.), the platform or device on which the game is going to run, the genre (adventure, action, real-time strategy, role play, platforms, etc.) and the viewing format (2D, 2.5D and 3D).
