We are all in debt to the books we read. And, in particular, to those that offer us new ways of seeing the world or new explanations for the changes we experience. That's why we created this new series of lectures under the title "Understanding Changes: Books, ideas and authors in Fundación Telefónica", to bring us once again to that moment when, after reading a few lines, the apparent chaos became an explanation after the authors achieved the magical task of showing us the new laws of the new reality. By its very nature, this series would be endless, because new ideas and new books appear every day. In this first stage we have chosen seven authors who have reflected in their works on collaborative environments, the representation of information, sources of innovation, the source of creativity, new ethics, digital culture, consumption trends, etc. and we have developed this programme which will culminate in July with the second Thinking Party 2011.
I think it will be a wonderful experience to have all these speakers with us, to listen to them and ask them questions. Let’s enjoy the privilege we have of living in interesting times and try to take advantage of all this new knowledge and technology in order to transform our reality for the better.
