By means of an agreement entered into with the National Institute of Culture and the National Museum of Peruvian Archaeology, Anthropology and History, the twenty thousand Pre-Colombian fabrics that make up the textile heritage of the Peruvian state have been inventoried, recorded in photographic format and hosted on a website.
The page is divided into three sections. The first contains museographic records, accompanied by a reproduction of each one of the textiles; the second contains the legislation that safeguards cultural heritage and the third showcases the pieces that need to be restored. This means that there is a catalogue of pre-Hispanic textiles, which will serve as a record in the event of theft or loss. This website also invites institutions to support the restoration and conservation of items that require such intervention.
