In a five-year agreement with the Archdiocese of Cusco, the movable and immovable assets of the three churches that make up the cathedral ensemble in the city of Cusco were restored. The Church of Jesus, Mary and Joseph, the Church of Triumph and Cusco Cathedral Basilica were affected by serious problems caused by damp, the passage of time and the effects of various earthquakes that had hit the city. The work required an investment of one million, two hundred thousand dollars.
This project involved the restoration, conservation and enhancement of these three buildings, employing fifty architects, restorers and labourers. Many of the workers were specially trained in restoration techniques and have continued their careers working on various historical monuments in Peru. The project also included the publication of a web page.
