One of the purposes of arsVIRTUAL is to reinforce and disseminate best practices linked to Cultural Heritage.
With this objective in mind, the Europa Nostra Awards were created by the European Commission as part of the implementation of the Culture 2000 Programme.
The purpose of the Europa Nostra Award is to encourage adequate conservation of Cultural Heritage and stimulate the exchange of knowledge and experience among all European countries by giving public recognition for both public and private initiatives and practices that contribute towards protecting and enhancing Cultural Heritage in Europe and which may serve as stimuli for similar initiatives.
The website run by Hispania Nostra, an association that collaborates with arsVIRTUAL, describes the Europa Nostra awards granted to Spain, as well as how to obtain information with a view to taking part in the next call for applications.
