Since its inception, the Youth Program has always had a global vocation, aimed at supporting this group, improving its prospects and generating opportunities for a transition to independent and responsible adulthood. Currently, the project takes place in 8 Latin American countries: Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Panama, Peru and Venezuela.
The Youth Program focuses its activities on four aspects:
Young students who have taken part in Proniño and have completed their secondary degree are welcome to become part of this network by signing up in the program through our registration form available on the "sign up" page.
In Latin America we have begun our Educational Continuity activity with Fundación Telefónica's Study Support Programs for young graduates from Proniño Highschools. Thus, Fundación Telefónica reinforces its commitment with education as the key factor for fostering social development and equal opportunities.
At Fundación Telefónica we pay special attention to the generation of opportunities for employment. To this end, we study the demands of companies in every region in order to give young people the opportunity to become educated in the most demanded professions and trades and subsequently doing work placements in companies near their place of residence.
We also encourage youth entrepreneurship, sponsoring and expanding initiatives proposed by and for young people. Selected young entrepreneurs will receive, besides an economic allocation to launch their project, specific training and the support and follow-up of mentors.
