The beneficiaries of the Proniño Program are children between 5 and 17 years of age who are either working or, due to their vulnerable position, are at risk of joining the workforce at a young age.
The criteria used to determine the level of vulnerability of children and families are:
- Belonging to a household in which basic necessities are not met.
- Child worker.
- Poor performance at school.
- Frequent repeating of school years.
- Nutritional shortcomings.
- Quitting school.
