Fundación Telefónica's Jóvenes Programme starts a new entrepreneurship course in Nicaragua
Managua, 13 April 2012.- Jóvenes Fundación Telefónica Nicaragua started a new entrepreneurship phase with a clear objective in mind: to take a business sample of the young people that have taken part in the academic sessions once the term already under way comes to an end.
From 22 March and for the next four months, the youngsters participating in the programme will be taught the key theoretical and practical concepts needed to nurture an entrepreneurial spirit, innovate and put their own business into practice. The entrepreneurship course called “I can start my own business and create jobs" aims to achieve these lofty goals.
Young participants see this space as a platform that will allow them to come up with and develop their own ideas or strengthen those they have already in motion through small businesses: “I think this initiative ofFundación Telefónica's Jóvenes Programme in Nicaragua is excellent since the entrepreneurship course is going to help us youngsters develop our innate skills and abilities, which will be able to get on in life in the not-too-distant future,” said Franklin González.
In addition to the business skills youngsters will acquire thanks to it, the course is also a space for participants from different milieus to exchange experiences and knowledge, as Marcela Vanegas suggests: “I think the course is nice, lively and fun and will allow me to get to know my classmates better and to discover new things with them. I'm confident this course will help me achieve what I want.”
Managua's Universidad Americana will be the place where youngsters will attend the course. The business sample is planned for July.
