  • Exhibition: Oscar Niemeyer

    From 17 September to 10 January 2010

    The Oscar Niemeyer exhibition - which is being held in collaboration with the Fundación Cultural Hispano-Brasileña (Hispanic-Brazilian Cultural Foundation) and is curated by Lauro Cavalcanti using the resources of the Oscar Niemeyer Foundation - focuses on the significant and substantial output of this brilliant Brazilian architect and the originality and imagination of his projects, such as in Pampulha and Brasilia, and other works which established his international reputation. The grace and lightness of Oscar Niemeyer's designs, his direct personal involvement in every stage of the project and his political commitment to fighting the world's injustices are revealed through photographs, films, models and original documents.

    The exhibition consists of the following material:
    17 models, 21 drawings, 50 designs + 2 books, 25 photographs, 1 sofa, 1 sculpture and a number of films about the architect.
