"Primario"

A Retro-Interpreted Experience

This is a time of multiple perspectives, of essential synthesis when cultures and experiences are mixed and recycled. A time when the limits of rational development, the cathartic technological becoming and most of all the inescapable plunge into a magma of masses of universal, interconnected information going at the dizzying speed of light, are nursed to the rhythm of the video console and convulsive advertising.

Aware that the consumption of visual data more than surpasses 24 images per second, or 400 units of information per inch, our concern is the setting up of a coherent project at the margins of theoretical-conceptual, scientific or even social-artistic claims.

We believe it goes without saying that the process set off by this manageability of information exceeds in every way imaginable tools of conventional analysis. For all these reasons, this work coincides with a state of primitive recombination, has an aspect of ritual shamanism and is based on a structure of perinatal matrices.

Given that our state is primary and that we can hardly assimilate what our experiences in this world and with machines teach us, we propose a techno-virtual birth, a journey of unusual consciousness (or awareness?) for the cyber-nagual.

Primario consists of an interactive program with several different levels. The cyber-nagual is defined by a graphic environment with stereoscopic vision and stereo sound with CD quality. Its duration is indefinite. The threshold was crossed in a ritual celebrated during "estación futura 95", during Art Futura in Madrid.
